It's interesting that even as Will and his ilk criticize the Left for being a bunch of out-of-touch elites, they themselves are just a different brand of out-of-touch elites. A closer examination of this phenomenon might reveal much about our bifurcated ways of viewing the same reality.
But maybe this is simply a human limitation; we are all elites (elitists?) at some point when empathy breaks down.
