Great advice. We went through some of the same with my father. I want to add a piece of advice I have been giving people in the past few years as we watched our very few videos of my kids as children: When you shoot videos or photos of the kids, no matter how cute they are, also get footage of the friends and family members (including Mom and Dad) who are present. Give them good screen time, playing with the children or just being. Your kids will have more memories of these important people instead of just watching themselves do little kid things.
